December Newsletter Hit the road Jack...... This month has been a good one for us. We received over 1200 dollars worth of food and seed from an aid organization in the States to be distributed among Mozambicans. It turned out being over 9000lbs worth of corn mill and seed. Kyle and I had it transported to a small town in the southern part of the province where there are a few existing churches in that area. We allowed them to decide where these sacks are to go and what areas need the most help. We also spent the weekend going through various parts of the ministry of Jesus in the gospel of Luke and giving them updates on our ministry with the Yao. It was a blessing being with them and munching down on goat liver curry.
The rest of this month has been spent with language classes and house repair and Christmas time. We had a nice Christmas and New Years spent with the Holton's and other missionary friends in town. But nothing compares with Christmas with family! There was a week or so when I was trying to shake a bad case of malaria but I'm feeling much better now. Ann and the baby have been doing great, no problems whatsoever. I'm leaving this Wednesday (the 5th) to start the great journey through three countries to South Africa. Ann will be flying into Jo'burg on the 11th and I'll pick her up at the airport. One thing that we need to pray about during the next few days is that if Ann went into labor while I'm on the road there will be no way for her to contact me for about three days...... So pray that the baby holds out another couple of weeks!!!! The due date isn't until February 12, but babies tend to come when they want to!
Thank you for your support over this year and the spiritual blessing that you've been to Ann and I through this great time of transition in our lives. May God grant you his grace and peace through the new year.
The peace of the Lord,
Rusty and Ann
